One of India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturers, Hero MotoCorp, has started offering home delivery of newly purchased bikes and scooters to its customers at an additional cost of Rs 349. This service is currently available in three cities in the country including Bengaluru, Noida and Mumbai, however, it has plans to extend it to 25 more in the coming months. Interested customers can book their Hero bikes/scooters online and avail the service through Hero’s e-commerce website-www.HGPmart.com.
This portal has a similar interface to other e-commerce websites with a dropdown to select your desired motorcycle as well as scooter. After selecting a product, customers can choose a suitable variant in a colour of their choice. Once the selection process completes, users are given an option to choose the state and city along with the dealership for the delivery of their two-wheeler.
Users can either make an advance payment online for booking the vehicle or pay the entire amount (ex-showroom price) at once. All necessary documents required for the purchase are picked from the customer’s given address by a third-party service provider that has a tie-up with Hero MotoCorp. Once the documents are picked and the vehicle is registered, the two-wheeler is delivered to the customer.
Interestingly, Hero MotoCorp has pioneered by initiating this service to the customers. This will also encourage users to purchase vehicles online, which offers a safe mode of payment and freedom to choose a model/variant of your choice after researching thoroughly online. Besides, the chosen vehicle can be delivered at any address, be it your office or home.
