Hero MotoCorp, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is gearing up to launch three new motorcycles on 21st December 2017. The launch is most likely to include the updated versions of Hero Passion Pro i3S and Super Splendor 125 along with the re-introduction of Hero Passion XPro. However, the company has not made any official announcement on the launch yet.
The 2018 Hero Passion Pro is most likely to receive an updated engine mechanism along with some cosmetic changes over the outgoing model. It is expected to share the engine of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 that features a 109.15cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine is capable enough to produce a maximum power output of 9.5 bhp against a peak torque of 9 Nm.
The second model to be launched is the updated version of the Hero Super Splendor 125, which gets the i3S technology to return better mileage in comparison to the previous version. It has received a refreshed body graphics along with several changes in the styling. It flaunts the newly added automatic headlight on (AHO) and three-pod instrument cluster at the front end. The suspension system of the bike has also improved, which includes a telescopic fork up front and a rear shock absorber. Mechanically, it gets a BS IV complaint 124.7cc, air-cooled engine that manages to generate a maximum power output of 9 bhp and a peak torque of 10.35 Nm.
The third launch will witness the re-introduction of the Hero Passion Xpro in the Indian market. It was discontinued in March this year and now it is most likely to come with a larger 109.15cc engine of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110. Apart from this, some updates are also expected to be made in the design.
The price of the 2018 Hero Passion Pro is most likely to witness a hike from the current price of Rs. 54,244 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Hero Passion Xpro is expected to be priced around Rs. 56,000 (ex-showroom) to Rs 58,000 (ex-showroom), while the 2018 Hero Super Splendor is to be launched at Rs. 56,215 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
