Economic Times has reported that Hero Motocorp will be bringing the rival for India's best selling scooter Honda Activa based on a  all new yet to be shown platform instead of the Dare and the Dash which were shown at the AutoExpo 2014. The launch of the mentioned rival for Activa should be happening around second quarter of this year. The brand new platform will have a scooter which will be designed to have a unisex appeal and will be and it will come with an all-metal body which is currently missing on products like the Hero Maestro and Pleasure. 

The engine powering the new scooter will be a in house developed engine as against the Honda engine used in Pleasure and Maestro. The rapidly rising Scooter segment in India has caught eyes of Hero Motocorp and it is expediting its new offering in the segment which grew more than 21%year on year in 2014.

The Design of the scooter is said to be done in such a way that it can be used by all the members of a family and its features will be delivering on the same principle.
