Hero Motocorp's Chittoor plant to start production by late 2018

The Delhi based auto maker, Hero MotoCorp has recently announced its plans for the proposed manufacturing facility in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The company says the new plant will become operational by December 2018 and it will be fifth of its kind manufacturing facility by Hero. A sum of Rs 800 crore will be invested initially in the first phase for the new plant and it will boost Hero’s annual production capacity by 5 lakh units, also the facility will provide employment to more than 1,500 people. The next phase will further add 5 Lakh units more and create a total of 3,500 fresh job opportunities.

With the help of the new facility, Hero will further strengthen its exports to the international markets like Columbia, Latin America and Africa. Hero also came up with Centre of Innovation and Technology, located in the outskirts of Jaipur. It will be a hub for the research and development of Hero’s future concepts and will help Hero to come up with more of the world class production to tackle the growing competition.
