Hero MotoCorp's Q4 profit dips by 3.44%

Snapshot: The biggest two-wheeler manufacturer had reported a profit of Rs 574 crores last year, whereas this year, it made a profit of Rs 554 crores

Despite record sales, Hero MotoCorp witnessed a fall of almost 3.5% in its Q4 profit over last year. However, the company's total income rose 6% to Rs 6,636 crores from Rs 6,250 crores. The company also sold the maximum no. of two-wheelers ever in a quarter. In the months between January and March Hero sold 15,89,462 units. With the new Government, Hero expects an improved investment climate and a revived economy and the industry this year.

“The financial year 2014 was all about setting new benchmarks, which culminated with the sales of 6.25 million units during the year – our highest-ever sales for any financial year. We have an action-packed year ahead with a slew of new products lined up for launch and further expansion of our global footprint” said Pawan Munjal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
