Hero Motorcorp announced as the new title sponsor for Caribbean Premier League

For all of those who are not aware about it, Caribbean Premier League is the annual 20-20 cricket tournament held in Caribbean. It is abbreviated as CPL or CPLT20. Last year it was sponsored by LIMACOL and this year Hero Motorcorp is declared to be the new title sponsor for the Caribbean Premier Leageue. With the new sponsorship, the third season of much awaited CPL 2015 will be known as the ‘Hero Caribbean Premier Leageue’.

Richard Bevan, Chairman of the Hero Caribbean Premier League, said: "It is our pleasure to have the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, as title sponsor of CPL. Hero has been one of the leading sponsors of cricket throughout the game's history, and it is a testament to CPL's growing success that the event will now be known as the 'Hero CPL'."

The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Motorcorp has been associated with sports from a long time. In 2007, Hero Motorcorp was the Global Partners of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup, held in West Indies. In the earlier season of CPL, Hero was officially sponsoring CPL teams, St. Lucia Zouks, and defending champions, Barbados Tridents.

Not just Cricket, but Hero has been actively involved in the promotions of various sports like Hockey, Golf and even Football. Apart from CPL, Hero is also the title sponsor for the famous Hero Hockey India League.
