The Delhi-based auto maker, Hero MotoCorp, has recorded a 14 per cent growth in terms of last month’s sales. Taking March 2015 sales figures into account, the company sold 74,792 units more this time. As per the latest report, Hero Motocorp sold a total of 6,06,542 units last month as compared to 5,31,750 units sold in the corresponding month of 2015.
This slew in terms of sales figures can be credited to the outstanding performance of Splendor and Passion range of motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market. Apart from these two products, Hero Super Splendor and the Glamour also helped Hero Motocorp to gain this growth. When talking about scooters, Hero Maestro Edge came out to be a hit among Indian buyers and is giving Honda’s Activa a straight head-on competition.
“Closing the financial year 2015-16 with augmented leadership at home and expanded global footprint – five years since we commenced our solo journey - is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for all of us at Hero MotoCorp. In the past five years, we have consolidated our leadership in the face of a volatile market and intense competitive environment, even as Brand Hero has become globally known, with presence in about 30 countries across Asia, Africa and Central & South America," said Pawan Munjal, CEO & MD, Hero MotoCorp.
