Few days ago hero Motocorp. started their first manufacturing facility in Colombia and with it Hero Motorcorp. became the first motorcycle manufacturer to establish their manufacturing plant in Latin America. As they mentioned this new facility will act as their hub in the Andean countries and will make them closer to the North American markets such as Mexico and the US.

At the event Hero Motorcorp. also unveiled their new offering in the 110cc scooter segment, Hero Dash. Hero Motorcorp. first unveiled Dash in the 2014 AutoExpo which was held in Delhi. Though dash is based on the same platform as Maestro, but it carries bit different styling. Both Dash and Maestro are based on the same air-cooled 110cc four-stroke engine that produces a maximum power of 8.5bhp and a peak torque of 8.5Nm. Apart from this, Dash is also equipped with features like LED tail lamp, side stand indicator, USB mobile charger and a service due indicator. According to the ongoing reports, it will be soon launched in India with a name of ‘Maestro Edge’ and the name ‘Dash’ will only be used in the international markets. When launched Hero Maestro Edge will go head on with Honda Activa 3G, TVS Wego and Yamaha Cygnus Alpha.
