Hero MotoSports Team Rally fans will be thrilled by the brand’s second stint in Northern Africa. A gruelling 2,600 kilometre distance, of which 1,870km is at race pace against the clock set in Morocco starting 5th Oct17. Star riders, Joaquim Rodrigues and CS Santosh will act as spearhead. The team has just finished week long training alongside novice Oriol Mena. Sources state third and fourth stages are the toughest with a combined distance of 400 kilometres. What the team is now doing is preparing to give an efficient run to both riders and observe the new bike closely preparing for the 2018 Dakar race.

Yes, these preparation races are very crucial for the team as they get to put learning to practice. Team synergy, rider inputs, vehicle response, etc define a well oiled machine, success depends on it. Racing is the ultimate test for recognising stresses before the most difficult races on the planet, Dakar. Happily the 33year old Indian and 36year old Portugal have spent more than a decade racing in adverse environments. Tarmac is a luxury here. The 18th edition of the OiLibya Rally of Morroco sees the field of motorcycles riders start the event with a short prologue on Thursday, October 5th. The real race starts on Friday with the first of the five demanding stages through the Moroccon desert and the Kingdom´s most remote areas.
