Hero MotoCorp showcased their 2014 line-up last year that was consisted of new Splendor iSmart. However, the country’s largest selling moto-maker had not announced the price and launch schedule of the model but recently it is emerged that the company is supposed to launch the Splendor iSmart on 29th January with a price tag of Rs. 57,200/- (on-road, Mumbai).

The new Splendor iSmart is positioned as a top-end variant of the Hero’s Splendor series motorcycles that is revised with technical and aesthetic upgrades. The company will market the iSmart alongside the other variant of Splendor. The Splendor iSmart features a start-stop system that shuts the engine when it is left at idling and brings it back to the life as per the requirements.

The main concept behind using the i3s (start-stop system) is to save the fuel in urban areas where frequent halts at traffic signals result in an overall low fuel efficiency. Hero MotoCorp has baronial plans for the Indian market. The company showcased 15 products of their 2014 line-up at an event in October last year. The new generation Karizma, Karizma ZMR, Pleasure and other models are also expected to get launched in a queue soon after the introduction of Splendor iSmart.
