We earlier reported you that Hero has silently introduced the Splendor Pro Classic in the country at a sticker price of Rs. 53,900 and it has been confirmed by the company. Hero MotoCorp officially said that it would dispatch the Splendor Pro Classic to the dealerships in a few weeks. This new bike, as the name indicates, is based on company's best selling motorcycle - The Splendor Pro.
The round light Splendor Pro Classic made its Indian debut at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, held in February this year. It also strikes a resemblance with the Royal Enfield cafe racer. However, its price wouldn't be as much and hence it may not be enticing enough for the classes but it would certainly create a rage among the masses. As far as styling is concerned, it get a brand new handle, a classy round lamp and a fuel tank inspired by the cafe racer. The company has also used the chrome element in the bike quite effectively as several equipments such as rear-view mirrors, headlamp ring, front and rear fenders, suspension and the silencer are entangled in it.
Coming to the engine and performance, it gets the same engine as the Splendor Pro. Hero's conventional 97.2cc single-cylinder motor churns out a maximum power output of 7.7bhp along with a peak torque performance of 8.4Nm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. We expect this classic motorcycle at the company dealerships by the beginning of festive season around October.
