The Gurgaon based world’s biggest two-wheeler maker, Hero Motocorp has taken the Expo by storm with the unveiling of the new Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125. Both the scooters were to date only present with a 110cc engine but now they have been upgraded with a new 125cc single-cylinder engine.
The engine in talks is a new 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers around 8.7hp of maximum power and 10.2Nm of torque of peak torque. The company has also given these new scooters its famous i3S (idle-start-stop tech) that was earlier only seen in motorcycles from Hero.
What’s also new is the fact, the Maestro Edge scooter gets a new LED tail-light, while other features such as external fuel filling, digi-analogue instrumentation, a side stand and service indicators are standard like before. Also, the scooter now comes with optional front disc brake option. Talking about the new Duet 125, the scooter misses out on the front LED headlamps but have been updated with features such as a boot lamp, mobile charging socket, external fuel filler, side stand, service indicator and a pass switch.
