Hero's electric scooter - Photon - launched with a price tag of Rs. 54,110

Snapshot: Hero Electric's latest offering will cater to the category of eco friendly people

After years of research and development, Hero Electric (a subsidiary of Hero MotoCorp) has finally launched Photon - its latest electric scooter - in the Indian market. The company is claiming a positive feedback from Indian customers which boosted the confidence of the company to go ahead and launch the model which they unveiled earlier this year. The scooter will target and try to appeal to working women and senior citizens. The scooter has been price at Rs. 54,110 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Keeping in mind the varied needs of customers, it has been our constant endeavour to innovate in the e-two wheeler category, strengthening the trust of our valued customers. We are confident that the new Hero Electric High Speed Photon will further augment our growth in the EV segment,” said Hero Electric's CEO - Sohinder Gill.

 

The scooter will come studded with telescopic suspension at the front, anti-theft alarm. The aerodynamic styling will give it a futuristic look. Despite being an electric scooter, it will need a license and a registration number to be ridden. In a battery full, it can go up to 50kms without stopping in Power mode and 80kms in Economy mode. Photon will be made in Ludhiana and will be available in three colours - Vivid Burgundy, Vanilla White and Velvet Black.
