Hero's showcases it's new Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) located in Jaipur

The Delhi based automaker, Hero Motocorp, has invested a sum of Rs 850 crore in its new Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) located in the pink city Jaipur. The new facility has been developed for the research and development of Hero’s future technology and state of art products for not just India but the worldwide markets. Dr Markus Braunsperger, chief technology officer at Hero MotoCorp will be responsible for heading this new facility which will employ over 500 automotive experts. The CIT campus also comprises of a 16-kilometre long test track which will be used to test Hero’s future products in different real world conditions.

Speaking about the facility, Mr Pawan Munjal, chairman, MD and CEO, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. said, "The CIT is the result of our bold vision to position Hero MotoCorp as the leading source of innovation and green technology. This facility is a giant stride in our relentless endeavour towards strengthening our in-house technology capabilities.”

After parting ways with Honda, Hero Motocorp took its R&D operations to the top gear and is developing radical products like Hastur, HX 250R and many more.
