Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) is on a roll. If the Activa pipping the Splendor in top sales stakes was not enough, its stablemate, the Honda CB Shine, became the first ever 125 cc motorcycle in India to achieve the 30 lacs unit mark. In the process, it became India's highest selling 125 cc motorcyle too.  The CB Shine has overtaken many pre-existing competing models in this segment and is currently leading the sales by a huge 61 per cent margin over its nearest competitor.

HMSI claims that globally too the CB Shine, in the FY 2014, has zoomed ahead to become Honda Motor Company, Japan’s most selling motorcycle across Honda’s two-wheeler operations worldwide.

Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, HMSI, said, “We thank our valued customers, business partners and Associates for this remarkable feat. CB Shine is not only No. 1 selling 125cc motorcycle in India but also the world! For the first time ending FY’14, CB Shine has become No. 1 selling motorcycle for Honda Motor Company, Japan worldwide.” He rolled out the epic 30th lac CB Shine produced at Honda’s second plant at Tapukara, Rajasthan on this momentous occasion.

Mr. Y. S Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, “CB Shine has become India’s first ever 125cc motorcycle to achieve 30 lac unit sales. This reaffirms that CB Shine is a true Winners Choice and is universally accepted by valued customers. We firmly believe customer experience and customer loyalty is priceless and will work to delight our customers in future too.”

Honda is manufacturing the CB Shine at two plants - Tapukara (Rajasthan) and Narsapura (Karnataka) - to cater to the overwhelming demand for this no-nonsense, efficient and reliable 125 cc commuter.
