As a result of the Indian government’s statement on electric vehicles, a lot of automakers are now concentrating on introducing the same in the country and the race has just begun. Joining the list is the latest Bengaluru based startup, Emflux which has just announced its plans on showcasing an electric superbike concept at the upcoming AutoExpo show. As per the claims, the bike will perform similarly to a middle-weight motorcycle, which means it will have blistering performance on the go.
The company has stated that the bike will be called as the Model 1, which will be powerful enough to attain a top speed of 200kmph. The company also claims promising acceleration figures saying that 0-100kmph will be done in no more than 3 seconds which seriously looks too good to be true. Taking about the motor, Model 1 will derive its power from a liquid-cooled AC induction motor making 67bhp and 84Nm of torque. The motor will source its power from lithium-ion batteries which have been reportedly supplied form Samsung.
The Model 1 will be a fairly premium superbike and hence will come along with a slew of features including the 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with navigation, real-time vehicle diagnostics, smartphone connectivity feature and much more. The bike will also offer ABS as standard.
As per the available specifications, the Model 1 will be able to roll up to 200kms on a single charge, which we reckon is a promising figure. On the other hand, we have seen numerous new electric concepts in the past few months but none of them have made it to the production avatar so far.
When launched we expect the bike to be priced somewhere in the range of 4 lakh to 5 lakh.
