Honda Accord Hybrid 2016 Launching Tomorrow

Honda car India is all set to launch its all new Honda Accord Hybrid sedan, in India tomorrow. The Accord hybrid was first showcased in the auto expo 2016. The biggest selling point of the new Accord sedan, would be the powertrain that will witness a brilliant combination of  2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors that can churn out a handsome 215PS altogether.  

The all new Honda Accord Hybrid would hit the Indian shores as a CBU(completely built unit), which will make the sedan a bit costly. Additionally the sedan is likely to get the already proven 2.4 iVTEC petrol motor, which was previously available in the subcontinent with the seventh generation Accord. The 2.4-liter engine can churn out 176PS of maximum power and 225Nm of maximum torque. Honda is claiming that the hybrid accord will deliver a mouth watering milage of 23.8kmpl, however, it is unlikely to get a diesel engine.

The upcoming Accord is a brilliant looking sedan which carries projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillights, bold character lines, molded new bumpers and a sloping roofline. Once you step inside, you will be welcomed by a new instrument cluster, four spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, a 7.7 inch Multi-Information Display and another 7-inch touch screen display, which features all essential function of the ICE system and a dual-zone climate control. 

The new Accord is expected to be priced from Rs 30 lakh and it go up to Rs 40 lakh for the top end variant. The Accord will face a steep competition from already established cars like Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Skoda Octavia.
