The Honda Activa 125 FI BS6 gets an engine overhaul and other cosmetic revisions.
Here are five aspects to know about the Honda Activa 125 FI BS6.
The BS6-compliant engine of the Honda Activa 125 FI gets 26 patents. It features the same motor but with a reduced horsepower, 8.1 to 8.52, as it is at present. The vehicle now sports Honda’s PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel-Injection) and ESP (Enhanced Smart Power) for optimizing energy output. The shape of the inlet port has changed to make the scooter’s combustion chamber a compact one. Thus, this revamped engine is 13% more efficient than that of the outgoing model.
The design of both the scooters is the same but with minor changes such as the restyled headlight. The visor has a sharper look, as well. The apron has changed a bit. The side panels get chrome treatment, as does the tail light. Otherwise, the two models are similar. The new variant will come in four exciting colors, Metallic red, blue, and grey along with the pearly white.
This scooter comes with an AC generator instead of the conventional stator to enable noiseless starting. The Honda Activa 125 Fi gets an idle start-stop system along with an external fuel-filler cap, front glove box, and a pass-light switch. The side-stand-down indicator and an engine inhibitor to prevent the engine from starting when the stand is engaged are new features.
The fuel injection system introduces an ECU to provide more information, such as distance-to-empty to improve fuel efficiency.
Arrival Date and Pricing

It implies that the base variant of the new vehicle is more expensive than the high-end option of the current model at Rs 65,012. The hike looks high, but BSVI compliance comes with a cost. However, the scooter comes with a 3-year warranty extendable by three more years. Deliveries should commence from September 28.
