Activa has seen incredible success in India since launch and it continues to do the same still. In what is an unspecified HMSI conference today, we are expecting the 3rd Generation of the super hit Activa might be launching today. Our belief comes from the fact that , images of the Activa have emerged from what looks like dealer yard.
As per Overdrive the new Activa essentially goes unchanged for 2015 with some new 3G badging on either sides of the scooter and a 3-D Activa badge. The India's best selling scooter as per the report will be adding two new colours to its portfolio along the standard colours in which it is offered, the new colours should be Blue and Brown. Though the engine specs are supposed to change and the new Activa 3G should use the same 110 cc, single-cylinder engine that would produce 8 PS power and 8.74 Nm of torque that gets channelled to the road via a CVT. The updated scooter might see a slight tinkering to its ECU to provide a marginally better fuel economy.
After HMSI VP of Sales and Marketing, YS Guleria said recently that the company is looking to launch 10 new models in 2015, the new Activa should be one pof the first among the upgrades and the new launches this year Honda has planned for Indian two wheeler market. We are expecting that among the 10 models talked about, the CBR300R and the CBR650F are the front runners in the interest levels among the motorcycle fans of the country. We hope by today evening there will be better understanding about when we will be seeing these two highly awaited motorcycles here in India.
