Honda has launched the all-new Activa 5G in India at a starting price of Rs. 52,460 (ex-showroom). The Deluxe variant of the scooter comes priced at Rs. 54,325 (ex-showroom). The scooter was first showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, where it garnered pretty good attention from the visitors. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced an all-LED headlamp, some minor styling updates and couple of new colour options to the Honda Activa 5G.
The Deluxe variant comes equipped with a couple of extra feature over the standard Activa 5G. It gets several chrome trims across the body, a new front hook and an extra protector on the muffler. The Honda Activa 5G gets a new instrument cluster with analogue and digital combo display. It gets service due indicator. It also sports a 4-in1 hook with seat opener, just like the Honda Grazia and there is a retractable rear hook as well.
The newly launched Honda Activa 5G comes available in new colour options like Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red. Apart from that, the six colour options that were available in the Honda Activa 4G are also available for the new model. The newly introduced Honda Activa 5G renews its rivalry with competitors like the TVS Jupiter and Hero Duet.
While the Honda Activa 5G has arrived with refreshed appearance, mechanically it remains same as the previous model. The scooter gets power from the same 109 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled BS-IV compliant engine coupled with a CVT. The engine also comes with Honda Eco Technology (HET). This motor is good to produce 8 bhp of peak power and 9 Nm of peak torque, while it can run at a top speed of 83 kmph.
