All-New Honda Amaze Crosses 1 Lakh Sales Milestone; Ace Edition Launched

Honda Cars India has launched the Amaze 'Ace' Edition at an introductory price of Rs 7.89 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being based on the top VX grade, it is available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with manual as well as automatic transmission options. The company has introduced 'Ace' Special Edition to commemorate the 1 Lakh sales milestone of the new sedan. The Amaze becomes the fastest selling model for the Japanese automaker by selling 1 Lakh units in merely 13 months since its launch in mid May last year in the Indian market.

Talking about Honda Amaze Ace Edition, it gets several styling upgrades in form of Black alloy wheels, Black Trunk Spoiler, seat covers with Ace Edition Branding, Front Room Lamp, Black Door Visor, Door Edge Garnish and Ace Edition Emblem. The special edition is being offered in three paint schemes: Radiant Red, Lunar Silver and White Orchid Pearl. Honda also announced that over 25 percent first time buyers opted for Amaze with 38 percent sales coming from Tier 1 cities and 32 percent and 30 percent from Tier2 and Tier3 cities, respectively. Furthermore, the CVT gearbox with both petrol and diesel variants had a decent demand as more than 20 percent buyers preferred it over the manual transmission.

The current-gen Honda Amaze comes with a best-in-segment 3 years/ unlimited kms warranty, while it has contributed to 52 percent of the total company sales in ongoing FY19-20. Firstly introduced in April 2013, it has more than 3.50 Lakh customers today in the Indian market. Speaking on the success of Honda Amaze, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said that the all New 2nd Generation Honda Amaze has been a game changer for HCIL achieving exceptional success with over 1 lakh sales in record 13 months translating into 20 percent higher sales as compared to 1st Gen Amaze that was launched in 2013.
