Honda Cars India is eyeing to upgrade its hatchback Brio and entry-level sedan Amaze in order to boost up the sales of these cars as festive season is approaching. If a Team-BHP report is to be believed, then the company would make some minor cosmetic changes in both the vehicles which would mostly include colors and interior features. However, the pricing would be unchanged, despite these changes.
As far as Amaze compact sedan is concerned, the company has decided to phase out the Crystal Black Pearl colour in favour of a a new Golden Brown shade. Also, the existing outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) would go for a toss and the new ones, being much up-market and premium looking, would be sourced directly from the City sedan. Moreover, a couple of variants such as EX, S (AT/MT) and VX (AT/MT) would now boast an all new combi-meter with white illumination, blue gradation and a white pointer. The S (AT/MT) trim would also be equipped with dual horn while the E grade would lose on a few features such as rear grab rails, door centre sash tape and tachometer.
Coming to the Brio hatchback, it would also be offered with a new Majestic Blue shade, which would replace the Energetic Blue color. Similar to the Amaze, it would also flaunt new ORVMs, being borrowed from the elder sibling - Honda City. The EX trim would be featuring a new combi-meter, while getting rid of the door centre sash tape. The S grade would also adorn the new combi-meter along with dual horn, while losing out on front and rear mud flaps and assistant side seat back pocket. The E variant is also going to lose the tachometer feature. Mechanically, both these cars would remain the same and there is no change with the engines or the transmission.
