Honda Amaze CNG Launched at Rs. 6.54 Lakhs

Honda Cars India has finally launched the Amaze CNG at a sticker price of Rs. 6.54 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The new variant Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus is modified petrol Honda Amaze which is compatible for CNG fuel option. The CNG trim of Honda Amaze was spotted several times during it test runs in the country and a launch was on cards. The company claims that the Honda Amaze CNG variant is for those, "who are looking for an alternate fuel vehicle with high performance and low running cost."

The Honda approved CNG kit will be fitted to the new variant 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) at Honda Dealerships located in cities where CNG fuel is available in the country. This CNG ready variant of Amaze has been specially tuned during production for CNG compatibility by way of optimizing the suspension, application of CNG specific engine components & specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality. The new variant will come with a 2-year warranty as standard value for all buyers. As of now, Honda has sold over 1.30 lakh units of Amaze in the country since its launch in 2013 and with the introduction of CNG trim, it intends to take this tally further on.

Commenting on the introduction of the new variant, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “At HCIL, we constantly work towards enhancing customer experience through our products and services. We are extremely happy to bring the Amaze with a CNG option for our customers, which will not only be cheaper to run and maintain but also eco-friendly.” Although, the price of the new variant 1.2 S MT Plus is Rs. 599,585 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), and the CNG kit installation charges are Rs. 54,315. Hence, the combined price of the new variant with CNG kit installation is Rs. 6.54 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
