Honda Amaze has seen a price hike ranging between Rs 11,000 and Rs 31,000. The increased amount is slapped above the introductory price and this decision was taken because of the higher production cost for the model, as the Japanese brand states. Now, the Honda Amaze comes priced from Rs 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom).
This price hike has made the lower variants of the Honda Amaze dearer than the closest rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire. However, this price hike is not expected to make an impact in the sales of the Amaze. The car has already proved its mettle and contributed 51% in the total sales of the brand in July 2018. Availability of petrol CVT and diesel CVT for the Amaze has played key role for the car’s high demand.
Launched in May 2018, the new Honda Amaze comes with a completely new design and it gets loads of appealing features inside the cabin that enhance its style and premiumness. It is available in both petrol and diesel options with the duty being performed by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor respectively. Apart from Maruti Suzuki Dzire, this Honda compact sedan competes with Hyundai Xcent and Ford Aspire as well.
