Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has launched a new 'SX' variant of their compact sedan Amaze. This SX variant is positioned between the on-going 'S' and 'VX' variants and will be available with both Petrol and Diesel fuel options.
The Amaze SX gets some added safety features such as front Dual-Airbags in addition to the features available in 'S' variant. Additionally, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), which comes as standard equipment in all variants of Diesel Amaze, will now be offered in newly introduced Petrol “SX” variant apart from the top grade Petrol “VX”.
After arrival of this new variant, now the Honda Amaze is available in total 12 variants namely E, EX, S, SX (New) & VX, all the trims are offered with both Petrol and Diesel engine options. Other than these, the petrol Amaze also offers an automatic gearbox option which is available in the form S AT or VX AT trims.

The Honda Amaze has been a very successful product for HCIL and and very soon became the highest selling car for the Japanese automaker in the sub-continent. The Amaze was the first vehicle from the company to feature the Earth Dreams 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine followed by the recently launched Honda City.
