Honda Cars India AVP and Operating head Marketing, Rakesh Sidana has resigned from the company. Sidana joined Honda in February 2008 (As per his Linkedin Profile). Earlier, he was National Sales Head for Honda Cars India Ltd. Sidana has 29 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, National Sales and Marketing, Product Planning Strategy, Brand Communication, Public Relations and Network Strategy.
According to sources, Sidana said in a message to his close acquaintances, "I am moving on from here and today is my last day at Honda." That apart, he also stated that it was a wonderful and enriching experience working in the organization and thank you for the past 10.5 years of association.
Sources said that Sidana is likely to join as Director-Marketing in one of the new entrants in the Indian passenger car market. The companies that have recently made their entrance are Kia Motors, MG Motors and French carmaker PSA.
Earlier, in March, Jnaneswar Sen, senior VP - Marketing & Sales, Honda Car India, had resigned. And further confirmed on pursuing his personal interest. In his 12 years of association with Honda Cars India, he has worked in very stiff condition (time, when the company was not using diesel engines) and putting the company into strong position.
