Honda India has officially announced a price hike of up to Rs 25,000 on its cars from 1st January 2018 in order to offset the rise in input costs. As mentioned by a spokesperson from the Japanese automaker, the company is planning to hike prices on all the models of in the range of 1-2% from next year.

The automaker has made a statement that the reason behind the increment is a steep rise in the cost of base metals. With this, it has joined the league in raising car prices as few other famous brands have already taken this step. Earlier this month Isuzu had announced to increase the prices of its ongoing models by up to INR 1 lakh. Skoda Auto India, another popular brand, had also announced last month that it will hike prices by up to 2-3% across all the models from the next year.

However, before all these happen, there are still few more days left to bring home a Honda at the ongoing price tag. Moreover, some of the Honda dealerships are giving exclusive offers such as heavy discounts, cash-backs, free insurance and exchange benefits in its product line-up including Jazz, BR-V and Brio. The Jazz is being offered with a cash discount of INR 25,000 while the Brio is offered with one-year free insurance. Furthermore, the BR-V is being offered with a lucrative cash discount of INR 1 lakh.

However, the facelifted Honda City is being sold without any exchange or cash benefits in spite of being the top seller for the brand. This sedan car has been so popular that it has registered more than 5,000 bookings within just 12 days of its launch.
