Honda CB Hornet 160R launched at Rs 79,900
Snapshot: The much awaited Honda CB Hornet 160R has been launched at an attractive price tag. It comes with sporty styling, Combi Brake System and a powerful 163cc engine. And you can book it through a dedicated android application. Looks like the naked street segment has a new yardstick.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) concludes the year 2015 with the launch of its new CB Hornet 160R. The light and efficient everyday motorcycle has been competitively priced at Rs 79,900 (ex showroom Delhi). The much awaited CB Hornet 160R is a street naked motorcycle with sharp sporty design lines and a 163cc technically advanced engine. Honda claims this new CB Hornet 160R delivers usable low-end torque and produces less vibration for a comfortable ride. It comes with Combi Brake System (CBS) to add to the safety of the rider.
The design lines are edgy to exude powerful and nippy character of the CB Hornet 160R. The headlamp is paired with two position lamps and the tail light houses LEDs for added visibility in the night. Riders will appreciate the forward leaning tank shrouds, carbon pattern tank cover and the fully digital meter console. Another eye-catchy feature is the new short exhaust muffler that looks excellent.
Honda has given a maintenance free battery and a viscous paper filter to decrease maintenance costs on the CB Hornet 160R. The company claims the filter element will require replacement only after 18,000km of running. The CB Hornet 160R complies with the BS-IV emission reforms the makes it one of the first motorcycle in its category to do so.
Honda Eco Technology (HET) equipped in the CB Hornet 160R enhances fuel burning inside the cylinder pushing out better efficiency figures without the compromise on torque. “We are also proud to announce that CB Hornet 160R will be one of the first motorcycle in its category to meet BS-IV norms, well ahead of April 2017-regulation timeline” states Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. Other sporty details that surely will delight are 5-spoke split alloy wheels and a wide 140mm rear tyre.
In keeping with the times, Honda also released a dedicated android booking application for the CB Hornet 160R. Interested customers may download the application and choose to book their new CB Hornet 160R at a booking amount of Rs 5,000.
