Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has confirmed that new Neo Sports Cafe inspired - the Honda CB300R - will be launched in the Indian market soon. The CB300R will be available for sale through the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route for the Indian market.

The new Honda CB300 Neo Sports Cafe comes with a blend of the retro elements with ultra-modern styling. It is also the lightest motorcycle in its category and mated with a 286cc engine, which will give riders a nimble feeling with a lot of power at their disposal.
Powering the new motorcycle is a 286cc, DOHC single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling and fuel injection technology. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this powertrain churns out 30bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 27.5Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The company claims that this powertrain comes with minimum number of moving parts, which helps in reducing maintenance cost.
The CB300R’s frame is constructed with tubular and pressed steel; the swing arm is manufactured from steel plate, irregularly shaped in cross section, giving it a bespoke minimalistic look. It features a newly designed exhaust pipes based on NEO SPORTS CAFE DNA style, which features a 2-room structure to offer powerful and aggressive engine sound. For suspension duties, the motorcycle gets 41mm light-weight inverted front forks and 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. In addition, there are 296 mm disc brakes on the front of the radial mount, 4-pot calipers with ABS G-Sensor at the same level as on the racetrack. The high specification system gets an innovative IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to give precise front to rear distribution of ABS operation depending on the vehicle posture controlling the Roll, Pitch, Yaw of the Motorcycle - simply put a braking system which keeps the rider in complete control, even during sudden brake application.
Some of the design highlights include round-shape thin LED headlight with a built-in signature horeshoe-shaped light guide, full LED lighting muscular fuel tank, all-digital instrument console and stubby rear. The CB300R will be available in two colors - Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. Bookings for the motorcycle have also been started at a token amount of Rs 5,000.
