We have been updating you on the soon to be launched Honda CBR650F since the day one when Honda declared that they will be bringing it on the Indian roads. On the day of Livo’s launch Honda announced that they are launching the new CBR650F on August 4th. CBR650F is brought in via the CKD route with around 15 percent localization. Honda has already started with the assembling of CBR650F at the Manesar Plant near Gurgaon and according to the reports; the company is assembling a unit per day.
CBR650F will be sold through 10 selective dealers in the metro cities all around the country and the setup will be expanded to 20 dealerships by March next year. Honda will come up with new dealerships across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmadabad, Lucknow, Indore, Chandigarh, Cochin, Bhubaneswar and many more. Few days’ back we posted a spy image of CBR650F caught at a showroom in Indore, Honda has already commenced the training of engineers and mechanics to handle the premium CBR650F. Some of the dealers have already started booking the CBR650F at an amount of INR 50,000. Indian market has many contenders in the same segment against CBR650F such as Benelli TNT 600 GT, Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Ducati Monster 795, and Triumph Street Triple. It is expected that Honda will place it in a price bracket of 7 to 8lakh Rupees in order to stay competitive in the segment.
