Honda Cars India Ltd. is set to revive their famous Civic sedan in India yet again with the launch of the all-new Honda Civic in March 2019.
The new full-spec Honda Civic was recently spotted testing undisguised in Karnataka. After its debut in 2018, India will now welcome the refurbished model this year, though, since 2016 the 10th generation Honda Civic sedan is on offer worldwide.
The 2019 Honda Civic India-spec will be powered by a 140hp, 1.8-litre petrol motor and a 120hp, 1.6-litre diesel motor for the first time. The new Honda Civic diesel will be offered with a manual gearbox only. Whereas, the petrol engine is likely to be equipped with an automatic transmission and a six-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, Honda had recently brought a Civic automatic sedan diesel powered by the same motor paired to a new nine-speed automatic transmission in the global markets.
The new Civic car in India is expected to come in a single fully-loaded variant to raise the bar of rivalry. The Honda Civic exterior highlights are the daytime running lamps, tail-lights and LED headlights, as evident from the new pictures.
Official booking orders for the new Honda Civic executive sedan have not yet started. The all-new 2019 Civic car will be pitted against the likes of Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra. On the basis of the engine offered, the new Honda Civic price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs.16 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs.
