Honda Cars India is all set to bring back the Civic sedan in Indian market in late 2018. The Civic sedan has also been showcased at the ongoing Auto Expo. The all-new Honda Civic will lock horns with Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia as well. While the brand is tight lipped about the specific launch time of the car, we can hope it hits showrooms across the country sometime during festive season. However, it is only our speculation.

Upon arrival, all-new Honda Civic will be places above the Honda City in the brand’s India portfolio. The sedan comes with a sharp and premium styling that arrests attention at the very first glimpse. It gets LED headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lights, LED taillights. The car has been designed keeping aerodynamic efficiency in mind. It runs on 17-inch stylish alloy wheels.

Not only exterior, inside the cabin too it gets upmarket styling and features that make this sedan a very appealing one. It gets high quality leather seat and upholstery, a large 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, power assisted driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control. On the safety front, it gets six airbags ensuring great protection for the occupants. The sedan also sports electric parking brake with brake hold function, multi-angle rear view camera for convenient parking.

Global market-spec Honda Civic is available with an array of petrol and diesel engine options. However, the India-spec Honda Civic could receive a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine can churn out 139 bhp of peak power and 174 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel motor is capable of generating 118 bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Pricing of the car is expected to be competitive against the rivals that will help the Japanese brand to attract the buyers towards this car.
