Honda Cars India has updated the range-topping variant of its flagship offering - the CR-V - in the country. We ain't talking about the introduction of 2015 CR-V facelift, which can be already seen in several European countries, but it is a subtle update which includes addition of a few more equipments to the top-end Honda CR-V 2.4L AT (AWD). Honda CR-V 2.4L AT AWD comes at a sticker price of Rs. 25.09 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Talking about the updates, the SUV gets keyless entry with engine start-stop button, a new entertainment system with seven-inch touchscreen, six speakers, voice-recognition, Bluetooth and HDMI Video compatibility. Although, it still lacks the navigation feature. Updated CR-V also comes with a tonneau cover which is a standard across the entire range. Additionally, multi-angle view for the reversing camera, and auto-dimming function for the rear view mirror are a couple of exquisite features that make their way in the CR-V. There are no changes to the exteriors of the SUV, and it remain untouched.
Mechanically, the CR-V 2.4L AT AWD is unchanged, and it continues to draw power from the 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine. The engine churns out a maximum power of 187bhp and peak torque of 226Nm, while mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox which transmits the power to all the four wheels of the SUV. Honda would launch the facelift version of the CR-V in India by the end of 2015.
