The fifth generation of the Honda CR-V was unveiled in the 2018’ last quarter and its mild CR-V facelift is in work progress. Recently, three CR-Vs were spied testing in America. The front fascia and rear end of the crossover SUV were covered with the camouflage. Minor tweaks are expected in the Honda CR-V Facelift.
As per the camouflage-covered on the crossover SUV, the upcoming CR-V is expected to get a slightly changed bumper design along with a big chrome bar over the grille.
As expected the quarter panel and rear bumper might receive mild cosmetic update too. Rest things will remain the same. Speaking of the interior, spy shots of Honda CR-V are yet not revealed. So, there are no updates expected on this front.
These significant updates are more likely to be on board with a few improved features and technology. However, no technical changes will take place. Presently, the Honda CR-V in India has a 1.6-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre petrol engine that comes with AMT only. Both of these engines are likely to updated with BS-VI emission norms prior to the crossover SUV facelift arrives.
Honda CR-V current -gen model first made its worldwide debut in the year 2017 and its mild refreshed model is more likely to unveil at the end of this year. The model will make its Indian debut by the late 2020 or at the beginning of 2021. This Honda SUV comes in two sitting configurations, including a five-seater and seven-seater (comes with diesel engine only). This premium SUV comes equipped with front and rear parking sensors, six airbags, digital instrument cluster, driver attention assist, and a panoramic sunroof.
The current Honda CR-V price in India is between Rs 28.27 lakh to Rs 32.77 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom Delhi). The crossover SUV competes with the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Ford Endeavour.
