Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin to Launch delayed; to Arrive mid 2017

Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin adventure motorcycle that was showcased at recently held Auto Expo 2016, was earlier expected to make its debut somewhere in 2016, but as per reports by Autocarpro, the bike is now slated to make its entry in Indian two-wheeler market by mid of2017. As a part of Company’s Make in India campaign, hardcore off-roader will be manufactured locally in the country, after CBR650F.
The decision was has taken place due to the latest earthquake which took place in Japan and affected Honda’s Hamamatsu factory. This factory is also manufacturing high-end bikes from Company’s product portfolio. Powering its motor is a liquid cooled, 998cc, This motorcycle is powered by 998cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, 8-valve parallel twin with 270-degree crank and uni-cam engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 93.87 bhp at 7,500 rpm along with 98Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Power to the rear is transferred by 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Being an off-roader it is equipped with a notable 1575mm of wheelbase which will provide you better stability on/off road. Breaking duties are done by a large 310mm of dual disc at front and 256mm wave hydraulic disc with rear with ABS off switch. It has also received 18.8-litre of large fuel tank that will give you a company claimed range of 400km.
