Though the Honda CR-U will be 228mm smaller than the CR-V, measuring 4300 in length, the Urban SUV is quite a spacious vehicle.
While in the global market, the compact SUV might get a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine, in India it will have two engine options- City's 1.5-litre i-VTEC and Amaze's 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. With bigger engines and dimensions, the compact SUV is likely to be priced around Rs 10 lakh to rival Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
The vehicle might share its interior design with the next-generation Jazz, thokugh the design will vary in different markets. Whereas, the Urban SUV will be launched in 2015, new Honda City, New Jazz and Mobilio MPV will be launched in 2014.
