Honda Dio Scooter Achieves Historic Sales Landmark of 30 Lakh Units

Honda Dio has achieved a sales milestone of 30 Lakh units in the country. The scooter debuted nearly seventeen years back in 2002 and while it took 14 years to reach the 15 Lakh sales figure, the next 15 Lakh sales was achieved in just 3 years - i.e. three times quicker than the first 15 Lakh sales. Currently, the Dio is India's fourth highest-selling scooter. Moreover, it is the country's numbero-uno exported scooter with 44 percent market share in scooter segment and exported to over 11 South Asian & Latin American countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Colombia & more.

Delighted at this historic landmark, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said that Dio has an unmatched legacy of 17 years yet it appears so fresh. The youthful appeal of the scooter mixed with the convenient features and stylish looks make it the perfect vehicle for today's youngsters in not just Indian market but also in international markets. Mr. Guleria expressed gratitude and thanked all the Dio customers for choosing it. With prices starting at Rs 52,938 (ex-showroom, Delhi), Honda Dio is available in two trim levels: Standard and Deluxe. Also, Honda Dio is the company's highest exported model till date.

Honda Dio Scooter in Red Color

Honda Dio is offered in a total of nine paint schemes. The standard variant can be availed in five exterior colors: Vibrant Orange, Sports Yellow, Sports Red, Candy Jazzy Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. On the other hand, the Deluxe variant comes in four paint shades: Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. Honda Dio is powered by a 109cc 4-stroke SI engine which develops top power of 8bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 8.91Nm at 5500rpm. The engine is linked to a V-matic transmission and it has a top speed of 83kmph. LED headlamp plus LED position lamp and fully digital meter come as standard fitments with the scooter.
