Honda Jazz is one of the most attractive premium hatchbacks in the Indian market and we are eagerly waiting for the next generation model. The buzz is that the new generation model could come with a fully electric variant. Honda has not been very keen about the electric vehicles at the beginning, but as the scenario is changing fast in the global market, the Japanese automaker doesn’t want to stay behind in competition.
Globally known as Honda Fit, the all-new Honda Jazz will come with significantly sharper and more stylish appearance. The Japanese auto manufacturer is partnering with Contemporary Amperex Technology to develop batteries and other electric vehicle technologies. Expect this partnership to play key role for the development of the Honda Jazz Electric and future electric cars from the brand.

If everything goes well, we might see the Honda Jazz Electric to be uncovered by 2020. The car is expected to come with a running range of around 300 kilometre on a single charge. Honda is likely to focus the Chinese market alongside European market. This EV could play an important role in the brands electric vehicle strategy that foresees 65% of the total sales coming from EV and PHEV sales.
Speaking about Indian market, as the country is thriving to adopt zero emission pure electric mobility in the next decade; we might see the Honda Jazz Electric coming here as well. However, the automaker is still tightlipped about the launch of the car.
