In an attempt to woo the most crucial segment of the Indian market, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its most affordable motorcycle in India. The new bike will be known as CD 110 Dream and is the third bike from Honda in the Dream series.

The bike will be powered by a 110cc, single cylinder engine that produces 8.25bhp of maximum power and 8.63Nm of torque. The bike will be equipped with the Honda Eco Technology (HET) which aims at maximising the fuel efficiency and will deliver an optimum fuel-efficiency of 74kmpl. The bike has been given stylish graphics in order to make it stand apart from the competition.

The CD 110 Dream will come in three colour schemes with Black as the base colour and Red, Blue and Grey stripes to choose from. The three variants available are: Kick Start with Spoke wheels, Kick Start with Alloy Wheels and Self Start with Alloy Wheels. However, Honda has not announced the individual prices for all the three variants, but the bike is expected to reach dealerships by mid-July.

The price tag of Rs 41,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi) is very competitive keeping in the mind the technology and the trust Honda promises to deliver. The 100-110cc segment currently contributes around 23% of the overall 70 lakh units of two-wheelers sold annually.

Commenting on the motorcycle at the time of its launch, Mr. Yadvinder S Guleria, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, HMSI said, "The launch of CD 110 Dream completes our portfolio in the 100-110 cc segment. The bike which is going to be the most affordable bike to be launched by Honda in India, will help us cater to the basic sub-segment of 100-110cc vertical."  He further added, "We are now fulfilling the utilitarian needs of 'rurban' customers with CD 110 Dream. We are confident that the bike will ride Honda into the hinterlands and multiply the success of existing Dream series motorcycles."
