Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) has kick started the road safety awareness initiative ‘National Road Safety Week 2018’ across India with a message #HelmetOnLifeOn on 23rd April and this campaign will run till 30th April. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer’s 5,700 outlets across India will work to spread safety awareness to all the age groups. More than 22,000 Honda associates across the country will take road safety pledge.
Under this safety awareness campaign there are 12 Honda traffic parks across the country to spread the message to the citizens. There will be special activities in these 12 Honda traffic parks in collaboration with various corporate companies and educational institutions.
The initiative was announced during the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo in February this year when Honda’s brand ambassadors Tapasee Pannu and Akshay Kumar spoke about the importance of wearing helmet while riding a two-wheeler. Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “As a responsible two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda is committed to spread the message of road safety to everyone.”
The two-wheeler manufacturer has already trained more than 1.6 lakh people under this campaign and the latest edition will engage more people across the country. The company has vowed to make India’s roads safer and it is activating road safety training and awareness across its over 5,700 touchpoints across the country.
