The aggression for which Honda is known for, which also helped them surpass Bajaj Auto to take the second spot in the two-wheeler segment, is growing by leaps and bounds. In an attempt to capture more and more market share, HMSI has decided to tap the ever increasing commuter segment, and its latest offering to this segment will be a 160cc motorcycle which will be more stylish and sporty than most of its competitors. The new bike should be ready for launch in the second quarter of the financial year. This bike is also expected to create a niche for itself which sadly the Unicorn, Trigger, Dazzler couldn't.

Honda has not shared any detail of the upcoming model in terms of technology or styling, but we assume it must be unique as compared to the other bikes in the segment. Despite doing very well in the scooter and entry level motorcycle segment, Honda has not been able to tap the most happening segment in Indian two-wheeler industry - the 150cc segment. This is a segment that is ruled majorly by Bajaj Pulsar followed by Yamaha. Even though this segment is a lot about better fuel-efficiency and styling, we cannot rule out a factor which will decide the fate of this motorcycle - dynamic pricing. If Honda manages to keep the price checked, it won't come as a surprise if this 160cc becomes a game changer for them.

Honda should rely majorly on this motorcycle if they want to realise their dream of selling 45 lakh units this financial year.
