Honda has decided to throw some more light on its upcoming model - the CB300F. As the suffix suggests, it is going to be a naked motorcycle from Honda. Being very similar to the CBR250R, it also has a single cylinder engine that is a fuel-injected, stroked version of the CBR250R's engine. It simply means that the engine will have a longer stroke which will increase the capacity of the bike to 286cc.
The bike will be 4 kgs lighter than the faired CBR300R which will make it a 158kg affair. This sounds like a really good proposition as the bike will be too agile and nimble to play around with in the city traffic. The six-speed transmission will help delivering the 31bhp of power to the rear wheel. The torque is also an impressive 27Nm at 7,250rpm. The stopping will happen with the help of a 296mm disc at the front and a 220mm at the rear, but without an ABS. The suspension will be taken care of by 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a five-step monoshock at the rear. The riding position will be upright which will allow the rider to be in complete control on the motorcycle on all the occasions.
The bike should arrive the US market by the fall of this year and will be available only in Red colour. Honda has priced the bike in the US market at $ 3,999 (Rs 2.4 lakhs) and has not said anything about its availability in the Indian market anytime in the near future.
