The Honda Scoopy 110 scooter has been spied testing for the first time on the Indian roads in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. It is already on sale in the U.S market and is expected to be launched in India in early 2018. Honda is planning to launch two new vehicles in its line-up in India and Scoopy could be the first one among them.

The spy images reveal some information about the exterior styling and design of the automatic scooter from Honda Motors. The test mule features a retro-design styling with a dark blue shade and the front-end comes with an apron-mounted round headlamp. The integrated turn indicators with chrome border feature on both sides of the headlight and the rounded rear view mirrors give a fresh look to the design. The spy pictures also reveal that the scooter runs on alloy wheels with an optional disk brake for the front wheel and a standard drum brake for the rear. Honda is expected to offer the new scooter in different shades like Blue, White, Red, Black and Pink.

The scooter will be powered by the same air-cooled engine, which powers the usual 110cc Honda scooters. The engine will churn out a maximum power output of 8 bhp against a peak torque of 9 Nm and comes paired with a CVT gearbox to transmit the power to the front wheels.

The new Honda Scoopy is expected to be priced around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 65,000 (ex-showroom) for the Indian market and is expected to compete with the likes of TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Fascino and Suzuki Swish.
