Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently released its sales figure for April 2014. And figures say that Honda is doing pretty well than its competitors. Where Bajaj roughly sold 3 lakh two-wheelers, Honda managed to outdo it by selling roughly 14,000 more units than its competitor.
Total number of two-wheelers sold by HMSI in April last year was 259,608 whereas this year the number has increased to 313,942 which makes it a 21% growth for HMSI. The number of scooters sold was 175,837, whereas 138,105 motorcycles were sold this April making it a 29% of growth for scooters and a humble 12% of jump for motorcycles.
