Honda, the Japanese auto-giant is considering to introduce Feed MPV in 2016, which, certainly is going to create a catch-22 situation for the well established market of the country’s top selling MPV Toyota Innova. It’s obvious that Honda is to bring its long awaited Mobilio first, this festive season, followed by this Innova rival, Freed in 2016.
A couple of other plans of Honda in the near future include the Indian debut of MPV Freed, positively in the mid-2014, followed by the Mobilio MPV around fall of this year; whereas, the inception of 2015 can also see the next generation Jazz, and a Brio based compact SUV by 2015 end.
Now, the curve in the story is that Toyota has also been reported to introduce the next-gen Innova by either 2016 end or the beginning of 2017. Innova has been pouring in loads of business for Toyota, and has been a well established MPV in India.
On the other hand, Honda Freed is available for buyers of the International markets, yet is bit small in size as compared to the Innova in India. Wise would be Toyota, if it considers introducing a bigger MPV this time to beat the most successful vehicle in India from Toyota. As an anticipation, we think of the Freed MPV to fall between a price range of 10-15 Lakhs.
