Honda is gaining a lot of ground in the Indian market, just after launching the diesel engine option in the country, Honda has gone into the aggressive mode and is bringing every car possible to the country. The NSX Concept for the first time during Honda’s long journey in India will be displayed in the country during the Auto Expo 2014!
Honda officially announced that the NSX concept will be on stage during Auto Expo. The European market will get the NSX with the Honda Badge shining on the hood, while the Indian market will get the Acura version of the sports car!
The Acura brand may soon land in India to take Honda into the premium line-up, while Honda might stay within the budget cars that would serve the mass segment of the country, while the Acura would serve the premium segment customers.
The NSX concept would be very identical to the production car and will be powered by a massive twin-turbo V6 engine direct injection fuel supply. The high performing Acura’s SportHybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive System (SH-AWD) will come mated with the Acura NSX. The cars will be imported from Ohio where they are handmade when launched in India.
The Honda NSX went out of production in 2005 and after a decade, the brand is reviving again. The concept model will go into full production mode by 2015 and the first production model would be launched in in mid-2015. The NSX is known world-over for its unique insect like headlamps and if launched in India, would compete against the Nissan 370Z directly.
