Earlier, we informed you that the next generation Honda Amaze will make its global debut at the Auto Expo 2018. As per the latest media reports, the Japanese car manufacturer has confirmed that the new CR-V and the tenth-generation Civic will share the pavilion with the compact sedan. Honda has already announced to launch six new models in India by 2020 and the three models are part of it.
The new Amaze is set to witness its launch later this year and Honda will introduce new CR-V after it in India. What’s more interesting about the new CR-V apart from its looks is that it will come with a third row seat configuration and will be offered with a diesel unit option as well and it is for the first time that CR-V will be offered with these both new updates. The New CR-V will come packed with Honda’s 1.6-litre diesel engine that can belt out 158 bhp top power with 350Nm of torque. Reportedly, Honda plans to localize the production of the 1.6L engine to keep the competitive price of the model and in the year 2019, it will also power up the Civic.
On the other hand, the Civic that will debut in India will be slightly different from the one that will witness its launch in India. Honda will bring the facelifted version very soon. The new version gets more of a sporty looks with sweptback LED headlights and silhouette whereas earlier it had a contemporary design. The new Civic will be offered a a 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated VTEC petrol engine and an aforementioned diesel unit as well.
