Unicorn 150 was discontinued from selling in Indian market back in February when Honda dealers stopped the bookings of the bike. Now the company has finally removed the Unicorn 150 from the list of motorcycles on company’s two-wheeler website. Unicorn 150 has been selling in India from a decade now and the bike took over the market as it was a very well selling product from Honda two-wheelers. Though the bike has been discontinued selling in India but it is still manufactured here and exported to the international market.

However this move will not end the Unicorn’s legacy as a slightly bigger Unicorn is here to take the torch forward. The new Unicorn is a 163.2cc motorcycle that is known by the name Unicorn 160. It is capable enough of producing a maximum power of 14.5PS and 14.6Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The bike comes equipped with the Combi-breaking system (CBS) and the engine gets Honda Eco-Technology (HET), which improves fuel efficiency of the bike. The motorcycles that are sold by Honda in 150cc space are CB Trigger, CB Unicorn 160 and the CBR150R. Both of the other two 150cc offerings from Honda have not been able to do very well in terms of sales here in India. The bigger Unicorn is a better version of the old and it is expected that it will help Honda to grow stronger in this segment as other manufactures like Bajaj and TVS have a solid presence in 150cc segment of motorcycles.
