Honda Motorcycle & Scooter unveiled the premium Honda Activa 125 equipped with BS VI compliant engine. The premium Activa 125 hosts a slew of updates including advanced engine, silent start system, digital-analogue meter and boasts of new idling stop system. The Japanese brand has launched the BS VI compliant Activa 125 much before the April 2020 deadline of emission norms being implemented in the country.
Mechanically, the premium Activa 125 is powered by BS VI compliant 125 cc PGM-FI (programmed fuel-injection) HET engine. The engine is equipped with Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. The eSP system acts as a performance accelerator by optimizing energy output through maximizing efficient combustion and minimizing friction. The ACG starter ensures a silent start which also assists in boosting the performance of the scooter.
The ACG starter also assists the rider with the comfortable frequent operation of the Idling Stop System. This system automatically switches off the engine at traffic signals which ultimately eliminates extra fuel consumptions and ensure better fuel economy. It allows you to restart the Activa 125 by just a twist of the throttle and does not compromise on comfort. The officials stated that with the unveiling of BS VI compliant Honda Activa 125, the Japanese brand has begun its transition to BS VI emission norms.
The premium Honda Activa 125 also features an all-new digital-analogue meter that now shows the distance range, average and real-time fuel efficiency. The instrument cluster also displays information like total trip, eco indicator, clock, service due indicator and malfunction light. The instrument cluster also has a side stand indicator that prevents engine start, this is a very thoughtful feature to avoid fatalities. Speaking of the styling of Activa 125, the BS VI compliant vehicle has got full LED headlamp with restyled signature LED position lamps and chrome finish on the front profile of the scooter. The premium Activa 125 will be made available for Indian buyers by end of June 2019.
