Honda's Road Safety Summer Camp Culminates in Delhi

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has announced culmination of its Road Safety Summer Camp for school children in Delhi. This Summer Camp educated over 1000 kids regarding road safety, in association with Delhi Police. The culmination ceremony was concluded at Honda 2Wheelers India Traffic Training Park, Baba Kharak Singh Marg in the august presence of Shri. Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police- Delhi, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President- Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd and the other senior dignitaries.

Recently Honda celebrated World Environment Day by launching a nationwide campaign! 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President – Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “As a socially responsible two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda is fully committed for promoting road safety & has so far educated more than 20 lac people in India on safe riding. This initiative is conducted nationally at our traffic training parks to educate children from the beginning about the importance of road safety and its various aspects. Through this initiative in Delhi, we have educated more than 1000 kids and I sincerely thank, Delhi Police for their amiable support.” Honda’s #HelmetOnLifeOn summer camps were also conducted in Karnal, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Chandigarh, and Coimbatore.

In Delhi, the company has been actively conducting road safety activities for 5 years now at its two traffic training parks. It has so far trained more than 2 Lakh people in Delhi on road safety including 1.3 Lakh children. During the summer camp, fun educational activities like road safety games and quiz were also conducted every day. In addition, students in the age group 9 to 12 years got a chance to learn about two-wheelers and importance of riding gear in a fun way on specially imported 50cc CRF 50 motorcycles. Honda’s specially trained road safety instructors educated children about the do’s and don’ts while commuting in a school bus and cycling. Taking forward road safety to personal safety Delhi police taught self-defence to the participants.
